Consumable parts such as laptop batteries or printer toners are not covered under warranty. Batteries are used unless specified otherwise and are provided with a minimum of 1-hour guarantee. RA Warranty Return Policy
AUSTRALIAN COMPUTER TRADERS requires a Return Authorisation (RA) number for all returns. You may initiate a return and request your RA number by completing the Warranty Form.
RA numbers are valid for 30 days. RA numbers will not be extended and will be closed upon expiration; you must contact us for a new RA number if more than 30 days have passed since your initial RA number was issued.
Once the RA number has been issued, you will receive an email explaining the return process. The RA number must be displayed on the outside of all packages; multiple-box shipments must have the RA number on all packages returned. Unauthorised or unmarked returns will not be processed and may be refused upon receipt and/or shipped back at the customer’s expense.
It is your responsibility to make sure that we receive the product and that it arrives without any physical damage. To return your product, safely pack it and all the accessories into the original box (where possible) in which it arrived. Please make sure that there is ample protective material around the product and any accessories. The RA number must be displayed on the outside of the package. Product(s) damaged during shipment will invalidate both the warranty and RA and will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.
Warranty Returns
You may return any product that is still under warranty for a Warranty Claim. Australian Computer Traders offers a Return-to-Base Warranty with all our items. This means that you are responsible for returning the Items covered by Warranty to our Brisbane office at your expense. You may choose any means of return shipping you wish.
Please note, when returning items, please select a shipping method that provides a tracking service and consider insuring the product for the amount of your original purchase price in the event the item goes missing. Australian Computer Traders is not liable for any losses incurred in posting the item(s) back.
Upon completion of your Warranty Claim, Australian Computer Traders will contact you for the return of the item and/or offer a refund/credit. Return shipping costs apply.
Change of Mind Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you've changed your mind about an item you've ordered, we're here to help. Please read our change of mind policy.
30-Day Return Window: You have 30 days from the delivery date to decide if an item is right for you. If you choose to return it for reasons other than a product defect or an incorrect item being sent, we'll happily accommodate this within the specified timeframe.
Return Postage: In the case of a change of mind, you will be responsible for covering the return postage costs. This helps us continue to offer great products at competitive prices.
Item Condition: To be eligible for a full refund, items must be returned in their original condition. This includes the original packaging and any included accessories. We understand that items may be handled to assess their suitability, but they must be returned undamaged and with no signs of extensive use.
Assessment of Returned Items: We assess all returned items upon receipt. If an item is not returned in its original condition, we reserve the right to reduce the refund amount. The reduction will be commensurate with the condition of the returned product and reflects our potential loss in value. We are committed to fair and transparent practices, so rest assured that any reduction will directly relate to the item’s condition.

Once you contact Australian Computer Traders, we will first try to remedy the situation. In many cases, a simple solution will solve the problem. If we determine that warranty service is required, we will issue an RMA number and email a link to print a pre-paid return shipping label.
